Simon Fuller launched his 19 Group of Companies in 1985. Since then he has been involved in the creation of 106 number one singles and 83 number one albums in the UK, along with an impressive tally of 281 Top 40 albums and 430 Top 40 singles.

19 Entertainment Ltd is one of the most successful entertainment organisations in the world. The company has made music history in the UK and the USA with a stream of number one hits and multi-platinum selling acts. Simon Fuller became the world’s most successful manager – breaking a record set by the Beatles Manager Brian Epstein in the 1960s – when three of his artists occupied the number one, two and three positions on the US single chart as well as the number one position in the album chart.

He manages Annie Lennox’s solo career; he created and managed the Spice Girls, who went on to sell over 45million albums and became a global phenomenon. Simon also manages Cathy Dennis, the most successful female British songwriter of the last 30 years.

19 as a company has built up an unprecedented roster of top music producers, songwriters and artists playing a fundamental role in the success of artists including Madonna, U2, Oasis, Britney Spears, Will Young, Kylie Minogue, and many others.

Simon also created the most successful TV format of the new millennium - Pop Idol (American Idol in the US). It’s an international success that has aired in more than 35 markets. Audience records were broken in the USA, UK, Germany, Australia, South Africa, Poland, France and Benelux, to name just a few and it’s generated several multi-million selling acts around the world. The fourth season of American Idol is achieving unprecedented audience records of around 28 million viewers per show, making it the highest rated TV show in America.

In 2003 19 Entertainment took on representation of David and Victoria Beckham. The first result of this was a multi-million pound deal with US giant Gillette, and more recently the setting up of The David Beckham Academy in the UK and the US with AEG.

Simon is recognised around the world as an entrepreneur who has changed mass market culture through his creative work in music, film and TV. He has won many awards and has been named Number One UK entrepreneur, Number One Most Influential Person in the UK Media and Most Influential Figure in Music. He has undertaken numerous charity projects including work for Greenpeace, Amnesty International, Prince’s Trust and Comic Relief.

In March 2005 Simon created a new global entertainment partnership when he sold 19 to North American billionaire Robert Sillerman for 200 million dollars. As part of the deal Simon has entered into a long term agreement with CKX, one of the first acquisitions of this new partnership was to acquire the global rights to the Elvis Presley Estate.
This now enables 19 Entertainment, together with CKX to create entertainment history and set the agenda for the 21st century.

Native Management was founded in 1994 as a joint venture between Pete Evans and Simon Fuller and quickly established itself as the UK’s premier management company representing the very best record producers and songwriters. Pete Evans started his career in the music business in a record shop in West London at the end of the 1980s. From there he moved to EMI Records as a promotions man for the Parlophone label, working with artists such as Tina Turner, Paul McCartney and Bonnie Raitt. In 1990 he was approached by Big Life Management to run their record producer management business and remained there until 1994 at which time he founded Native Management with Simon Fuller. Pete says the reason for the company’s success is quite simple: “It’s down to the talent of the clients and the talent of the people in the company who work with them. They are what make us great.” Asked what it is that drives Pete himself, he answers, “The two things that have always inspired me are great songs and great voices. That’s what I’m looking for. And if you can get those songs and voices together, that’s when the magic happens -- the moment when for three minutes everything stands still.”

The roster of talented clients has enjoyed significant worldwide success working with some of the biggest names in popular music including Madonna, U2, Tina Turner, the Spice Girls and most recently James Blunt. Native’s clients have been awarded Grammys, BAFTAs, Brit Awards, ASCAP and BMI Awards and Ivor Novellos for their creative achievements. In 2006 Native was rolled into the new exciting CKX group and Pete Evans continues to run it from the 19 offices in London.

In April of 2004, Chris Oglesby started Oglesby Writer Management as a joint venture with 19/Native Management, bringing the concept of writer management to Nashville. Oglesby has found it to be a very effective way of working with songwriters by augmenting what a publishing company does, offering the writer more focus and a broader base of opportunity. Every writer has different needs and OWM can tailor its offerings to each writer with one-on-one attention. In addition to domestic resources, writers are also directly connected to the international offerings of 19 Entertainment in both song placement and writer connections.

OWM was acquired by 19/Native Management in July of 2006. Chris Oglesby will continue to oversee day-to-day operations and work with OWM writers. Additionally, Oglesby Writer Management will now offer an A&R outlet for artists associated with 19 Entertainment.
